Trend one- The chronological feed

After testing out many new layouts, Instagram welcomes back the
chronological feed! According to Business Insider the content stream
removed the layout that showed posts in the order of the latest published
content. The rumour has it that Instagram will now have two options.
There will be a ‘favourites’ feed and a chronological ‘following’ feed. What
does this mean for us all? We need to keep our content up to date,
visually appealing and attractive.

Trend two- Being the next generation of video

According to Instagram, the content stream is catching up with television.
Despite the slow take-off, video now combines with the IGTV format,
allowing you to have a separate tab on the profile. Each account can now
create a video up to 60 minutes long. This gives profiles new space to get
creative! Start experimenting, create longer videos in Reel form, see how
your audience react!

Trend three – Adding life to your platform
If we rewind back to 2010, when Instagram was first established, the
platform was mainly used for aesthetically pleasing imagery. Now the app
has become a platform where building communities, starting
conversations and creating corporate impact has no end. Being ‘social’ on your socials is the new trend. What does this mean for its users? A
sprinkle of character and personality is needed to connect with others and
bring your profile to life. Go ahead, show your brand personality!

Trend four – Expose your humour
Later Blog suggested that video memes are set to be the tool for viral
success. Adding a touch of professional humour into your platforms is a
great way to connect with audiences.
